The Resin tree is a member of the mango family. The tree is mainly present in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana and grows up to 20 feet tall at higher altitudes, but can reach almost 50 feet in lower-lying, warmer regions.
The wood is very hard and dense and can have a very pretty grain with an orange to red color. It is good to work with and polish.
